Motion Graphics/FX— I am a motion graphics, digital media creator and AfterEffects artist working with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premier Pro. While I've recently been working as a freelancer, I also have experience in large scale, fast-paced production houses, collaborating as part of a creative team in the creation of motion graphics, visual effects, compositing and video editing. Multitasking was often necessary and I drew from my substantial time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks, switch rapidly between projects and meet tight deadlines.
Storyteller— Storytelling has been a thread throughout my professional life ...over the past 20 plus years, I have honed my writing and communication skills through performance as professional storyteller. I have performed in the Connecticut State Storytelling Festival, The New England Storytelling Festival, many Tellabrations- including Rowayton, the grandaddy of them all, libraries, schools, museums and other venues. I also work for the Connecticut Storytelling Center as part of their educational outreach program which provides storytelling residencies to schools throughout the state.
Cryptivity: Escape-Style Creative Problem Solving Workshops— Passionate about creative thinking, problem solving and storytelling, I designed and created an escape-room-style workshop, Cryptivity, consisting of digital and hands on elements which I use to teach creative problem solving and critical thinking skills to kids in 3-6th grade. It has been an exciting challenge creating the entire content for this workshop series including: shooting footage, pulling chroma keys, editing and compositing video clips, creating digital effects and motion graphics, and designing creative problems for the kids to solve. I love seeing what amazing solutions arise when the students are engaged, stretch their creativity and expand their minds!
Illustration— I have been drawing since I was a child. I love making art in many forms, pencil and paper, painting, photography, digital and whatever else I can get into. I have done illustration work for private clients, libraries and organizations. I work by hand with various media, or digitally using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. If I’m not doing digital work, storytelling, creative problem solving or art, then I’m probably playing wallyball. (Yes, that's a thing... look it up.)
